I've always wondered about these statistics. Are they counting the entire 7,200 students as residents of Pike County? Because I know some commute from outside the county and don't live on or off campus. Also do they include the 60,000 students at Ohio St or the 80,000 at UCF in their counties poulation? Interesting stuff. You would think that Pike Co would have more stuff geared towards Millenials if these stats are correct. Just left a three day mountain bike trip to Ellijay, GA Small town but a very hip downtown square geared to the younger audience. Huge difference in that and Troy and for that much, here where I live.
