I don't complain much because we have it pretty good here at Troy, and I wouldn't really call this a complaint. But man do I miss having painted endzones. I would love to see some black or cardinal endzones. I think the color fading excuse is played out. Mississippi State, Alabama, Arkansas State, and ULL don't seem to have issues using red-like colors in their endzones.
I'm hoping there are plans to do this with the North Endzone Project, but if there's not maybe there are enough people who want it and can raise it as an issue during Trojan Talk or in some official capacity? Just curious because I would love to see this done.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I've said for years we need a Trojan dressed out on a beautiful stud and colorful end zones if we want PING in our TV marketing! Darn it, there are too many universities successfully painting colorful end zones (on artificial turf) to keep saying "we can't, the paint will fade"! Somehow they have figured it out. If great facilities sell athletes to play at Troy, great visual additions will help fans to want to experience game day at Troy as well. Banners etc., are other ideas to enhance game day experiences that won't break the bank!

I have thought for a long time that we have the perfect colors for a cardinal and black checkerboard design to be incorporated. I realize this is not an original idea but could be a nice touch.

So why can't they just repaint the end zone for each home game like so many other colleges and pro teams do?? That stuff is paintable and can wash off with a water soluable paint. 6 applications of paint a year to just the end zone would not be that big of a deal! Could even mix it up each game just like the unis..
