I haven't heard anything but jmo " Bowl Rings" is a bit excessive. Give them for a conference championship but I don't think you need to give them for a bowl game...jmo of course

I do hope we find a special way to recognize the efforts of Troy's Bowl teams somewhere in, or around, our stadium. Western Kentucky has placed huge banners at the top section of the stadium (on the outside) for folks to see while they are walking up or driving by the stadium. They also have a similar banner mounted in that area representing their I-AA National Championship. We should do the same for all those guys that won Troy 3 national titles back in the day. We could easily do the same on the side of the stadium facing the campus to show our pride for the Trojans. Same thing could be done on the back of the bleachers at Riddle-Pace for our National Championships. Also will be nice to see a Sun Belt Championship banner and NCAA Tourney banner in Trojan Arena next season for both the men's and women's programs.
Go TROY!

I didn't get a ring for being in the state finals of the high school football playoffs, which was a huge deal. We went 13-2. I wasn't expecting a ring for it.
You gotta win championships to get a championship ring.

There are championship rings and bowl rings.. One A Most Just Award and the other a Recruiting Tool to commensurate weeks of hard work (and win) and great exposure for the University.....slight miss of the mark in the times we live...even though personally I have no problem with NADA, rings were the smartest play. I say that understanding that you give them this year you must give them in a 6-7 year or 7-5 year........Give Them ......raise the funds.....shoulda been easy this year for sure.I digress but pledge the first $1000 to get it done. P.S. Slap a AP #25 on it somewhere before they dry too!

My son worked at Sunshine Sports, the media arm of FSU, when the won the Chick Filet Bowl in Atlanta, ALL of the players, coaches, staff, media team, ECT, got rings. He is extremely proud of that ring and what it represents.
