I hope next year they can do the football reunion on T-Day, that would help attendance also.

I'm not sure who was invited but I stopped by and there was s very small number there.

Or maybe, just maybe, it would have STRETCHED an incredibly thin staff just that much more? Just sayin'! All week long they were getting season ticket packages ready, Trojan tour ready, hall of fame, athlete reunion, spring alumni reunion, spring break with their families, scrimmages before t-day, baseball travel, softball travel, Sun Belt track and field, and many I missed, just sayin'!

I understand all of that. It would be nice, as a former player and speaking with many former players, to be able to have the players reunion on T-Day. Having it the week before meant for some that live a ways away to choose one or the other. The consensus was they would rather be able to see the T-Day game as that is the tradition. I know it's hard to please everyone, it just would be nice to have it T-Day. Hopefully next year. Go Troy!!!

I get your point but they were back to back weekends which didn't change the validity of planning needs. They can do as they please but I think that's why so many former players were not at T-Day this year because they came last week. It would help all us out of towners to make both on the same weekend with.

Also, I don't see the kicker we signed from Tate Hugh school Pensacola last signing day listed on Saturdays program. What's the story on him?

I also think the T-Club could take some of the load off of the university for planning and hosting it.

YES,it is THEIR JOB, but when you have 2 gallons of water and only a one gallon bucket, you have to transfer in stages. Gets the job done, planning all good, just has to make two trips. As for T-club, that would be great, but that is an Alumni Chapter, not an "official" arm of the Athletic Dept, or so I am told. BTW, there are "others" that are part of these events, Troy Facilities, Police/campus security, vendors, etc. Again, we ask of our folks things that maybe not be practical, from an event management point of view. That is all. Maybe some of you had never had to tell a customer that their expectations are outside of your limitations.

We, the CLASS does all the planning, organization, communication etc. I know that neither you nor I waited all life for good things to happen, T-Club initiative! What a concept!!

I even heard employees say it's better for them that way but they don't realize the work to be done...oh, they are the ones that do it. Guess they've gotten rid of a lot of former employees lately since everything is still the same events as before. I see you are chastising Troyset on another post for having his opinions about softball coaching. Consider that he has a right to his thought there as you do here, both worthy but neither necessarily correct!

I spoke to some of the staff AFTER WE SPOKE on the deck, and commented what was said to me. There other issues as well, no reason to go into it here. I live close enough that if both weekends meant something to me, I would have arranged for. That's a blessing I have that others may not and I am grateful for that. As for the other thread, come over there and referree if you want. Hope you had a fabulous Easter.

I simply indicated that you were doing what YOU chastised Troyset for doing, arguing with someone over THEIR OPINION. No more no less! It was simply mine and some other out of towners thoughts. I would have loved to make the old players gathering the week before but with a severely handicapped son that becomes very difficult for us. If you live in Troy or close by, you can "adjust" easily to a lot of things those of us who live further away can't "adjust to! We often have to choose between the two. ALL I was saying was that I had HEARD several former players frustrated over having to chose. They felt, like in the past, both has been and could have been on the same weekend and they could have attended both in one trip. For me, it's a 5 hour round trip but for some it's 10+ hours and this year it was Easter! That's MY thoughts and that's ALL it is. They will do what they will do....and like always, those of us non Troy residents will "adjust"! Hope you and yours had a great Easter my friend!

I mentioned the T-Club because I thought they could help the situation. As usual any thought or observation is attacked, mocked, ridiculed or throw the Florida comment into it. I publicly apologized for comments I made and vowed to not make negative comments. Why I even bother, some will never change. Guess I should have known

My point was it had been both on the same weekend to begun with until last year. I don't know their workloads or how they have increased. As long as it's on separate dates, many of us won't/can't make both! They push hard for attendance at both events and I was just trying to suggest how they might improve it.

Stet, you vowed to wash your hands with Troy athletics in a post months ago. Then you had a change of heart: 100 percent ok. Then you vowed to step away from the board forever. Then you had a change of heart: Meh. Fine. Then you vowed to make one post and then go back to your self-imposed ban. Then you had a change of heart: Whatever. Now you are back to your old ways of verbally sparing with others and then claiming no one likes you. Will you please have a change of heart again?
