I can understand TroyStet's frustration, but I think it was taken too personally. We all wouldn't be here if we didn't live and breathe Troy football. As an example, I'd hoped that Troy would take a look at the quarterback (Stetson Bennett) from my hometown high school (Pierce County Ga). I'm not an insider and didn't now how to properly get the information to the coaches, so I tweeted the kids information to Coach Brown and some of the other coaches. At the time, Stetson didn't have any offers and was flying under the radar. I think he was being overlooked because of his height (6'0"). I never heard anything back from any of the coaches, so I figured they weren't interested and I just let it go. Turns out that Tony Franklin at MTSU eventually extended an offer to Steston, as well as Southern Miss and others. However, Stetson decided to take an offer from Kirby Smart at Ga as a preferred walk on. www.hudl.com/profile/3372595/stetson-bennett-ivSo, I'm sure that we all see kids that we'd love to wear the Troy uniform, but I also understand that the coaches only have a certain amount of time and resources. PS... My nephew is the badass left tackle in Stetson's highlight videos.

Recruiting rarely works like that.Very few kids are not known about. Some just don't fit, some lack hip flexure, hip width, some lack length, some wouldn't handle the academics nor the culture.Ties go to pipeline programs that coaches need to bolster "brand" etc. etc.
Finding kids isn't the problem.Finding kids that fit 10 dimensionally is.Good programs recruit to that many dimensions. What alumni expectations are mostly is semi-selfish and not to the power of 10 that programs require.
Coach Brown/Staff have earned the right to recruit on their own!

Wow how true....let's compare resumes...on one hand going 10-3 along with the rest of Browns history vs.. A few keyboard typist who are probably sitting on the toilet and sending it via their I Phone....yep Neil better wake up the latter is obviously just as good as the former! Is it not?

I'm still hoping troystet will keep his end of the bargain and help finance, as he put it so eloquently, UAB's pole barn.
