The Trojans are on the road today against Georgia Southern. The Eagles return all 5 starters from last year's team and have won 4 out of their last 5 games. They are playing well and will be challenging for the Trojans.
Tipoff is at 4PM. You can listen to Barry call the game at troytrojans.com or Georgia Southern has an online video feed of the game through their website.
Go Trojans!!!

Lost 86-82
Gonna be a long season if we can't beat GS in basketball. Hardly a basketball power.
If we make the tourney will be as a 7 or 8 seed.

Hey guys,
The Sun Belt changed the format. All the Sun Belt teams will play in the tournament this year.
As for Georgia Southern, they returned all 5 starters, and have won 5 out of their last 6 games. They are now 2-0 in conference play. We will see how they finish out the year but right now they are winning games.
Go Trojans!

This lynch mob doesn't attend games nor do they support when things aren't going well. Phil is well aware that he's in a contract year and he's coaching for his job. You can't take people seriously when 90% of their posts are about what's going wrong.

You can't take people seriously when 90% of their posts are about what's going wrong. Some of us don't live 20 min from Troy either. I earned a letter in football, graduated from Troy, send my check in the same as you plus sent money to the business school and SOTS, have a daughter who will proudly graduate Troy in May and have my office decorated in Troy memorabilia. Just because one can't attend every Troy game because of where they live or their life doesn't revolve around following Troy on every away football game doesn't make them any less of a fan. If you or any one else want to attend every Troy game that's great and I applaud you. Some of us because of geographical distances, work, family or other scheduling problems can't. Just because we can't doesn't mean we don't have a right to complain and question a coach who in his fourth season with the finest facility in the Conference and arguably one of the nicest in the south can't win, has degressed record wise each season, and will probably improve his record this year thanks to a pasty OC schedule. As a proud alumni, former athlete, Troy parent and fan I want to see Troy be the best it can be in both academics and athletics. I don't support or condone a coach or administrator who is not doing what he was hired to do. They are not any different than any one else who has a job. Will they keep their job of they don't perform or do what their job description states. My second daughter is a assistant manager at a clothing store here while she finishes her business degree. She got reprimanded by her area manager this week because the store didn't meet conversion rate on her shift? Why? Two girls didn't show up for work so instead of four girls working the floor their were two including my daughter. Her AM told her no excuses, they had a goal and they failed, didn't matter if they were understaffed and couldn't wait on customers. That's real world. Cunnigham is out of excuses. He has proven he can't win and enough is enough. Four years is more than enough time to turn things around. LB turned Troy into a 10-1 record in year two and 1-AA semi's year three, Rigby took a two win women's team and improved year one, two, 20 wins year three, Confrernce champs and NCAA year four, pre season conference pick year five, NB turned us into 10 wins year two, Hammilton in soccer won year one. Cunningham is not a HC and it's time for Troy to make a change. Nice guy, good recruiter, just not a HC.

I just merely stated the obvious, about certain posters, for the new guy that you will soon be trying to tear down for having a positive outlook. Coaches are judged on wins and losses. Most people already know that here. Luckily if they didn't you and a few others are here to remind them multiple times daily with the same post over and over. Just for clarification I live 45 minutes from Troy.

Sorry if I offended anyone on the board as the newbie. My intention is just to support and promote the basketball team and the coaching staff. I do live close to the University and attend a lot of the games. I understand not everyone has that luxury.
If the basketball team can't make some great strides between now and the end of the year, I completely understand the need to go in a different direction. I'm sure our AD will make the right call.
I do completely understand that ultimately it's a business. The University has spent lots of $$ on the basketball program over the last 4-5 years. When you spend $$$, you expect to get a good return (WINS) on your investment. Unfortunately, that has not happened by and large over the last 4 years. Hopefully, things will change soon, only time will tell.
Go Trojans!
