FOUR turnovers in the last 90 seconds gave South the opportunity to go on a 6-0 run. Lost by one. POSITIVE, free throws have improved!

17 conference games to go. Let's see how this plays out before we call for coaches to be fired.
Go Trojans!

This is a very talented team. But it's just not coming together and where I think most expected we would be in year 4.

You may be right or you may end up being wrong. I do hope that anyone that complains about this team and coaching staff will actually show up to some games over the next two months. They really need our support. Go Trojans!

PERSONALLY I think The Trojan Nation is responsible for THESE turnovers!! IF as a coach I constantly hear people calling for my job and NOT showing support, then my blood pressure and stress levels are going to skyrocket at the end of close games. Even the greatest cannot keep that from their players and it WILL be sensed by the players and evidently reflected by their play

A lot of talent made a lot of mistakes last night. Varnardo had at least 7 t/o by himself. It's painfully obvious that the headhunters are on the prowl, but there seems to be a bias involved.

Let's see how the conference schedule plays out. He needs to win the SB, plainly stated. This team has the talent to win the SB or make March Madness. If we far short let's move on. No need to wait or waste 8 to 10 years to see if he can build a championship program. This is Div I

What do you practice? Who recruited these players? In football you blamed our poor defenses on players not executing yet VK gets this same group to execute. One game say in football or basketball where the players don't execute can be attributed to the players. But this was 5 seasons in football and four now in basketball. We made a change in football and executed. cunningham has now had four seasons of under performing and players not executing. Great recruiter, good assistant coach just obvious he is not a HC

Can he stop the ref from calling traveling because he dislikes ball fakes? You stated you know very little about the game, but you are consistently critical of what you don't understand...how does that work?

You stated you know very little about the game, but you are consistently critical of what you don't understand...how does that work? Well it's been four years of them not been able to catch the ball or not being able to not do turnovers so is it a coaching issue or is he recruiting the wrong players? Great coaches don't have teams that commit The same mistakes over and over again. You said that the defensive coordinator's couldn't get the players to make tackles or plays during the game. wrong, VK did. Rigby Took a two win team and improved her first season and improved every year after that. Cunningham has not improved one bit. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again. I am not an expert on basketball by any means I also don't know much about hockey but I realize that the coaches hired in either sport, given a state-of-the-art arena and has not improved one bit in four seasons they don't keep their job. Every team can have bad games but this is a pattern for four seasons now

Nothing is the coaches fault. In basketball, Players can't make free throws...players fault. Players turn ball over...players fault. Players don't execute...players fault. Team doesn't win....players fault. Team isn't good enough..players fault. In football, defense doesn't tackle...players fault. Defense blows coverages...players fault. Team shows no discipline...players fault. Recruited players not good enough...players fault. Coach is not responsible for recruiting the players, coaching the players, practicing skill sets, game management of players, game plan or anything else. I'm waiting for the next AD saying " He is a great coach, but his players just didnt execute. We need a change in direction so we are firing the team"

Troy has no length on the post. When Cunningham arrived he said Troy would be playing traditional big man basketball with a true post man playing with his back to the basket. His inability to recruit a true post player is killing the team.
We are relegated to jacking up threes for most of the night. Don did that for much cheaper.
There is talent on the team. That is very evident. However, I have zero faith in Cunningham righting the ship. He (his teams) has shown no improvement or production in three and a half seasons. I hope I'm wrong, but I sure don't see the switch suddenly flipping anytime soon.

Winning breeds excitement there is zero excitement for basketball other than the women's program at Troy. Even in the late 80s with Maestri when we went to the D2 final four there was times we were packing Sartain, we barely draw a thousand to a game now. Win and get the students and fans excited for basketball

(the old go to of blaming the lack of facilities is no longer applicable) When it's due. Specifically speaking of this game, and I listened to it on the radio, turnovers were the key. I'd go so far as to give up the fact coaching defense could have been an issue late, but so bama made some plays late that Troy didn't. I find it very difficult to blame the coaches for players not executing.

One game maybe but this is four seasons now of turn overs, not executing, mistakes etc. take a cue from our defense in football. We had people defending Rowell and Bolt saying they can't get the players to execute, tackle, not blow coverages. Enter Vic and they perform. Basketball team needs a new coach...period
