I've already purchased a block of tickets from the Troy ticket office to support athletics but want to be certain to get a good seat. I noticed my Troy tickets are GA but can get reserved seating on the 40 through the DGB website. Can someone tell me how much of the seating is GA? If it isn't much, I'm going to go ahead and buy additional reserved tickets so I'm not stuck on the 10YL.
Also, is Troy on the East or West side??

Also, is Troy on the East or West side?? Purchase through Troy. You will be seated based upon your status as a donor and season ticket holder. The tickets through Troy or anywhere else won't be GA. You just aren't assigned a seat until the deadline for priority seating.

I recall booking NO Bowl tickets for the Rice game and - as a season ticket holder - my tickets were not good. Want to be sure that good GA seats can be had and - if not - I'll buy more reserved tickets.

That will depend upon how many Troy sales. Season Ticket holders and Trojan Warriors will be seated first. Priority deadline is Wednesday at 5pm. The seating process and system at Troy is much better than it was back then.

I can answer the deposit question. We put a deposit on 4 tickets, only needed 2. If you put a deposit down on 2 and need 2, then you will pay the remaining balance of the ticket.

Every time I've purchased a ticket for a road game or bowl game, they have reflected my current seats (which are perfect). I'm just a Trojan Warrior / season ticket holder but I have no complaints

Donors/ticket holders should get a higher priority than just season ticket holders or the general public.

From Troy Athletics Splash Page: GAMEDAY INFORMATION Troy will be the home team for the Dollar General Bowl. We will wear a dark color and sit on the east side of the stadium.

For those that are directionally challenged... the east side is opposite of the press box.

I like that. Hopefully we request to use the visitors dressing room as well.
I don't want anything Troy associated with "home team" at Ladd-Peebles.

If we are home team why are we sitting on east side? Doesn't really matter, just curious.

The seating process and system at Troy is much better than it was back then. Just to expand on Hemi's comment, the Info system prior to John Hartwell was primitive at best, IE, the right hand could not connect with the left etc, etc, etc. During John's tenure the system was replaced with a more powerful, multi-sourcing data system that not only would capture all phases of Troy Athletics support info, but could merge into a meaningful, functional base that could provide historical gifting and ticketing history to allow priority ranking for situations such as bowl game seating etc, etc, etc. We no longer rely on Joan Hazel's memory or biases to assign preferred seating.
