Baylor just hired stAtes Blake Anderson... stAte gets a 2million Dollar payday Nice job by all parties on that hire. I think we have dodged the Cincy bullet. Gotta get hat extension handled though. I believe Mr Ho told us it needed to be handled last week. Right again... Normally Ho not comment past page one because by then post hijacked by band geeks but Ho tale exception. Need to extend Head Coach Levi Brown NOW, with buyout clause that include home game his new team with no return trip require or guarantee. That just price of do business. Ho think he not go anywhere. Evil Genius know that next season good be magic ticket to Pac-12 gig where he rebuild another wall.

If Neal were to leave we would likely know by the end of the week.

Neal is going to leave, it's just when. Ark St has won four conference titles with four different coaches. They manage to find new ones, so will we. It would be great if Neal stays but if and when he goes let's reload like ASU has.

Well Anderson leaving for Baylor was false.
stAte fans are not happy with Anderson btw... they have somewhat regressed under him

Anderson on his own twitter said ASU is basically stuck for now. As for NB, man has enough character to not let us speculate. If he was interested we would know. He is one of the few HC in the country who is not shadey or has no morals. He is a great role model for players ans aspiring coaches

I don't like Anderson personally. Or stAte for that matter
They will end their season 7-6.

Did you just hear Oregon just hired Willy Taggart from South Florida. That means the Bulls will be looking for a new coach... it may not be Neal Brown but whatever. The school USF goes to find the new coach will be out of a coach which means Brown could be in the mix... eventually so therefore Brown will up and leave Troy without any consideration whatsoever and we'll be back to a 3-9 team. Gloom, Despair, and Agony!

If Neal leaves we aren't folding the program. Ark St loses coaches almost yearly and replaced them, so will Troy

First off... Brown ain't leaving this year..
Second even if he did we would find a suitable replacement.

So here is my theory. Taking a coaching job is a little like gambling... not exactly but a little. Let's say Cincy comes at CNB with their sack of cash. I think we can agree it will be more than he is making now. That sack of cash however, is not as large as a SEC sack of cash. So if you are in it for the money, you would hope to be head ball coach at a big time school. A big time school isn't offering CNB yet. So how do you get those schools to show up with their sacks of cash? You win. CNB has a good situation at Troy. He is settled into the program and is being successful with a team that is overachieving. Next season is the big question. Which school offers the best opportunity to win and get exposure??? I think it is Troy. We have a lot of talent returning next season and I think the SBC is ours to lose. In my worthless opinion, I think CNB should stay at Troy until the big sacks of cash show up.

Hoping for a SEC job is a big gamble. He was two years OC at KY with mixed results. There are not many Hugh Freeze's who will get the call from Sun Belt to SEC. Better route is taking a Cincy job and moving up like Brian Kelly did jmo

You're second fiddle in your own state and you're second fiddle to a bouncy ball. But the home call is always a strong one.

I don't think he leaves Troy until he can go to a power five school that will compete for the conference title and playoffs every year. At Troy, he can when conference titles. Beat the big boys in a few years. Fill up our stadium and he will get paid well. 2 - 5 down the road this program is in solid shape. Brown will get a chance to hang his hat at a historic program on the power 5 level. I think he wants to take the field with all players that he recruited so his resume says - look what I built with what was here and look what I did with what I recruited. That would make a strong resume.
