I take this to mean we will definitely be going to one of the Sun Belt tie in games.

If Western Michigan wins Friday (MAC Champs) and Navy beats Temple on Saturday (AAC Champs), then the bowl announcements could be in a holding pattern as Navy will then play Army the next weekend, December 10. This would be the worst case for the Bowls as there could be a trickle down effect that would leave little time between the announcements being made and the first of the bowls being played on December 17th. This could get interesting and ugly at the same time...
Go TROY!

Also, stinks about my dream matchup with WMU! www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/negotiations-would-make-western-michigan-eligible-for-more-big-bowls-if-not-in-cotton/

I have some inside info on this one and I usually don't share but I will. In a gesture of good will the US Congress is going to set up a special bowl game in Cuba. They have already begun construction on a stadium and to finish it by Jan 1., they are spending 1 trillion + to speed up construction. The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to participate but no other pro team could come to terms. Therefore, the selection committee began looking at other teams and in bold letters by Troy University they saw "Anybody Anywhere Anytime." So they called up and good ole Troy accepted for a cool billion dollars. I got this from somebody who knows somebody who knows.

JonesOxygen DON'T give up yet! Reading this article still gives the Trojan Nation the opportunity for a perfect storm to develop: “The ESPN-run bowl possibilities for Western Michigan include the Armed Forces, Birmingham, Boca Raton, Camellia, Celebration, Hawaii, Heart of Dallas, Las Vegas, New Mexico and St. Petersburg.” “The MAC has seven potential bowl partners (Famous Idaho Potato, Dollar General, Miami Beach, Bahamas, Camellia, Quick Lane, Poinsettia.) ESPN Events has first selection of bowl-eligible MAC teams. Dollar General in Mobile, Alabama, has second selection. The MAC has six bowl eligible teams at the moment.

Has to effect some peoples plans IMO plus you have to return on Christmas Eve which will be heavy traffic I'd happily forsake Christmas Eve with my in-laws to go to the bowl game, but my wife would change the locks and start divorce proceedings the day after Christmas. I'd never see my dogs again and I love those dogs. So I can't go to Mobile. But I will have my gear, the tv and my Roku stick plugged in while I'm cooking! Cause I'm convinced that's the game we're being sent to.
