Does anyone know why this section was blocked off at the Ga State game? I'm always impressed with how full the end zone seating is but there is something missing on the home side. I would think that the upper deck should have been pack for a home coming game. All the home games I have attend this year it appears that the upper deck is maybe filled to 50-65% of capacity. In my opinion I think they should have more GA seating the upper decks or let some of the end zone ticket holders fill the home side. Look at all the empty reserve red/gray chair backs. I rather have both side line seating packed and a few empty seats in the end zone. It would make for a better atmosphere at the Vet!

It's reserved seating. At the New Mexico State game they were kicking people out of the section because they had GA tickets and didn't know any better. They should go ahead and make it GA.

Reserved seating that nobody buys. Baffling what they think of. Nobody has bought tickets in that area in the last 8 seasons. Might as well turn it into GA seating if people will sit there

I beleived that someone that had tickets complained about GA ticketed fans were sitting there and demanded that they be moved. Since thwn they have kept that section cleared. Not sure if the GA ticket fan was being obnoxious or cheering too loudly or what but i am pretty sure that is what happened.

My question/concern is the whole stadium club section as well. How are so many seats empty? Aren't these sold seats but yet they stay empty for most of the game?
I guess people are buying these seats in bulk but don't have butts to fill them.
I am happy sitting across the field where I can cheer unhindered by some of the stiff shirts I've encountered previously in those sections in the home side upper deck.

Not that many to my recollection when I've been in there. So what about the rest?

Yeah. I guess to each their own. I just really enjoy sitting and standing and cheering with the crowd. I've sat in stadium club seats and enjoyed that atmosphere as well as one of the suites but for me nothing compares to being out with the crowd. If I were to ever join stadium club I will be planted in my seat well before kickoff so I can experience what I enjoy. But again to each their own.

I've noticed this over the years and have always had the same question. It can easily be made fuller. Break out the pocket books and pay a little extra, help the university, and buy reserved seats. You can't expect to pay $10.00 and sit on the 35 yard line while others are paying &50.00+ per game. The GA seats are full because they are cheap! More people chose to go with the cheaper price. Every sporting event is the exact same way. Only difference at Troy Basketball, when you buy reserved seats you invariably have to run folks out of your seats who bought GA. The reserved seats do fill up after halftime when a lot of GA ticket buyers move to the reserved sections when the Event Staff decide to stop working.

I'll continue to sit in the reserved 207 close to the 50 but I agree we need more people to step up and this will happen as the fan base continues to grow. My question was more about the chair back seating in stadium club than the empty reserved section.

Would love to see those seats full as well, but you can't give away those seats. That wouldn't be fair to the people up there paying full price. That's the very reason why you see people complaining about squatters in their sections.

That's the very reason why you see people complaining about squatters in their sections. Two years ago I watched 10 regular reserved seat buyers swear they were through fighting the "squatters" and to this date they've been true to that promise and haven't renewed their tickets. That means we lost about $3,000.00+ EVERY YEAR!! I knew they were becoming frustrated with fighting the onslaught and having to constantly run people out of their seats and tried to warn the previous AD but John never saw a need to correct it. I've always wondered why we have Event Staff everywhere and they basically do nothing. The new AD does have them checking tickets at times at the entry or after seated but they seem to stop at halftime. The solution is simple but.....

If it is the same person/persons every game that are buying GA and sitting in reserved (it very well may have been) i would have more of a problem with it. But it is funny that it is that only section that is completely clear. I assume the people that did not renew were in that section. That section seems to be the only one that they really monitor. My tickets are in the upper deck but below the walkway and we get different people every week sit in our section. If they are in our seats or seats we know are someone elses' we politely tell them to move. We actually had some blowhards that did not move during band day... unfortunately i was not there or i would have made sure they were removed.

Last game I had to show my ticket to get into 212. The game before that a guy came around asking to see our tickets after the game started. In reference to your issue, you ought not have to run people out of your reserved seats. I go to a lot of events and Troy is the only place where I buy reserved seating and then have to run folks out of my seats or see non ticket holders just walk in and take a seat. It's not MY job to do that but it IS someone's. Heck, it's darn simple, if you want to sit in a certain section that has empty seating, pull out your wallet and buy that ticket. It helps Troy if you do!

I can say from personal experience as a Stadium Club Season Tix owner, there can be hundreds of butts milling about inside that don't get to a window seat or venture outside. Just because the seats may be empty doesn't mean the butt which would presumably occupy it is not onsite.
My two cents.

Bought two parking passes and one hour before game time I could not park in my LOT.1/3 of the vehicles in that Lot had no pass hanging from window....yeah,I was hacked and looked at every vehicle. My elderly father=in -law hoofed the extra 200 yards so no biggie.
Not sure how a barricaded lot is 1/3 full of non permited vehicles....hopefully it was recruits then I don't mine .....they can park in the endzone if it was me!
