The Panthers will come in to Troy next week at 1-4 or 0-5, nothing would make their day more than to kick our butts @ homecoming. Last years graduation took out several familiar faces there, most notably QB Nick Arbuckle who tore us a new one. They have two very inexperienced replacements at the position but returned two stellar receivers, both listed on the pre-season Fred Biletnikoff Award watch lists: Robert Davis, Penny Hart. Hart has since been lost for the remainder of the season... broken foot. On paper, we should more than return last year's favor and kick their butts, but....... ttimesmall First things first, Men of Troy!

GSU looked inept in the 1st quarter on O and D. Texas St jumped out to an early 14-0 lead and looked to be a blow out. But once the 2nd Qtr started i believe GSU scored 31 unanswered.
GSU showed a lot of poise to not fold early. They should have a lot a confidence coming into next week.

Sounds like we are nearly back to the old days where we could never take a team for granted. Back when we were winning championship every team had us circled on their calendar. We could count on even the lousiest Sun Belt team playing us lights out, if they were only going to have only one good game that season you'd better bet your bottom dollar it was against the Trojans. I know Coach Brown has been there before so I'm sure he won't let the team sleep walk on any given weekend.

GSU showed a lot of poise to not fold early. They should have a lot a confidence coming into next week. Would'a been 21-0 late 1st qtr but Bobcats punt return for TD was called back on holding penalty. Panthers D showed up in 2nd quarter and never looked back. Panthers O lacks experience except @ #19 WR Davis, AND this game was a confidence builder for them. Panthers have nothing to lose, will show up at The Vet hungry and confident as you said! The Men of Troy need to put cold water on the Panthers early and often. ttimesmall

But then again these could be a yard or two off but trust me a great day to go the vet ....sees you all's thar

Auburn is off and Alabama is at Tennessee. That's a good sign, though Alabama's game is the same time as our and is on CBS. Hope that's not an issue but you never know.

Fair weather fans are always welcome. As long as they don't scream shut up when someone is cheering.

Fair weather fans are always welcome. As long as they don't scream shut up when someone is cheering. Then they should be reminded politely that AUBLOW and ALASUCK won't play at the Vet!

Fair weather fans are always welcome. This. Fill up the Vet at the home games, then worry about the make up.

I did not say they were not welcome but wearing the gear of another school that is not playing is tacky none the less...and as said they will not schedule Troy

Traveling from Atlanta with a small group Saturday morning. We missed the opportunity to buy tickets through Georgia State and are wondering if we will have any issues buying general admission tickets and sitting in the visitor section...
Also and information on parking would be appreciated.
Thanks, looking forward to it!

Traveling from Atlanta with a small group Saturday morning. We missed the opportunity to buy tickets through Georgia State and are wondering if we will have any issues buying general admission tickets and sitting in the visitor section... Also and information on parking would be appreciated. Thanks, looking forward to it! Welcome. We hope you enjoy your visit, but not the ride home. We hope you are lamenting a whuppin on the trip home. As to your questions, Section 103 is usually assigned to the visiting team. Those seats are reserved, but that section is rarely full and you should be able to sit there. If GA State brings a large crowd and that section fills, you can still sit on the vistitor side, just in the upper deck. Those are still great seats. Except for lots designated for donors, parking is free on campus. Those lots are typically not close to the stadium (close is relative, it is Troy, not Atlanta) and using them means you have to take a walk. Numerous lots/private yards near the stadium allow parking for $10. Just north of the stadium, parking is available at the middle school, not sure about cost there. Again, a short walk to the stadium will be required. I hope this helps and as you visit just know that "The commander's spirit, ranging for revenge, shall, in a monarch's voice, cry ' HAVOC', and let slip the dogs of war".

Thanks. I appreciate the information.
Should be getting into Troy around 10:30 - 11:00 am Est.
Looking forward to watching this match-up. Our defense has been stout for most of the year. Should be interesting to see if our front seven can add pressure and disrupt some throws. Our secondary has been impressive all year, so as long as we do not turn the football over and establish some semblance of a running game - I think we got us a toss up football game.

Glad you coming. But this game will not be a potential toss-up. The Death Machine is up and running, this will be a blood letting.
