Any concern about the black jerseys and it being 91 degrees at kickoff?

Any concern about the black jerseys and it being 91 degrees at kickoff? I think it will be a non-issue with the kick at 6. The sun will be already heading down so direct overhead heat.

I like how they release the uniform details prior to the game. Nice job.

I like how they release the uniform details prior to the game. Nice job. I agree. Excellence is often in the details and TROY is beginning to do show excellence across many areas of athletic administration. AND IT'S CONTAGIOUS TOO!

PLLLLLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEE, someone put RED metallic strip(s) on the white helmets and please put more color (red and black) on the "T"'s on both the silver and white ones. Love the uniforms (even though I prefer more striping but that's just me)and helmets but we are missing out on maximum visual impact. On TV you can't see either and that suppose to be a marketing design. You never put light on light or dark on dark unless you separate it with an opposite shade.

Like the uniform changes each week, last night a little bland. But, keep it up I like the new look each week.

I'm not a fan of these unies. I think we have the best red in collage football. It's not as milky red as Bama and it's not as purple as Miss St. It's a great red. We need it use it. From a distance these looked like bad knock-off raiders uniforms. The white name lettering with the silver numbers made them look like cheap iron-ons.

Whomever designs our uniforms and like ours or not, they need to keep in mind you NEVER put light on light or dark on dark without a border for accent and separation. If you don't, you get "ghost" results and that stinks for TV or other visual advantages. It's all about marketing.

I guess the old class rings that said "Red Wave" just weren't large enough to say "Cardinal Wave"

First it was bathrooms. Now uniforms.
Some folks will just find something to complain about. Can we all just enjoy the good times?

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Saturday night. My whole family was there and we all had a blast. I thought it was a great atmosphere. You can't accuse me of not being able to be pleased. I was happy with the helmets and jerseys we had.

cornhole doesn't care. What's inside that uniform is what COUNTS MOST!!
I thought JJ looked great in that era! Leodis looked great in whatever he wore! #94, that Ware guy? Now who remembers which uniform looked best then? Levi, did he wear Levi's??
just as usual, GO TROJANS!
Glad to see a fired-up fan base again!

Don't understand why it is not unreasonable to expect clean bathrooms. They don't have to be fancy but damn, it doesn't take much for them to be clean. Just a little effort. On the uniforms, whatever. But on one side point, if you are trying to build brand awareness with a fairly new logo it does need to "pop" or stand out

My guess and I can't verify facts to support my assumption but I would be willing to bet that as well done as the athletics site revision was accomplished that somebody in the SID and marketing departments saw this before we did. Should they have seen it before the product was placed on the field? Possibly. But there are times that flaws aren't noticed until the product is in use.

Having a Hooks BBQ sandwich in my hand made me care less about the helmets. That was number 1. And I thought $6 wasn't a bad price for real good stadium food. Keep the BBQ coming.

It would be simple to change the striping snd "T" colors to contrasting colors better for viewing. I would think a rush on a new set of "T"'s for helmets would be easily done and I assume they can still removed with heat!

I get your thought about the BBQ but for that HS athlete watching in Florida or Tennessee, deciding where he wants to go, I'm not sure how it impacts him. It's about brand identity and if you can't SEE it you can't relate to it. JMHO!:-)

Me and a coworker (Burn Fan) were discussing why they changed from the shield with the crossed swords. I told him it is about developing brand awareness. The Power T is the perfect symbol to represent TROY and we need to make sure it is easily seen wherever and whenever possibly. Just like the T for Tennessee, the Power T is TROY!

I think I remember Neil sayed he wanted to get away from the shield and cross swords because it was to "busy" and wanted a simpler design so he chose the Power "T"! I concur with his thinking (as thought that is important :-)) but it doesn't matter what brand insignia we have if its design color prevents you from CLEARLY seeing it at a distance or on TV. Remember when Tennessee tried to emblish their T with black trim? Great reasoning but their fandom was hung up on the old style.

It was a marketing concept that the former athletic director was looking at doing. I remember being asked about it at a meeting. The "power" T is very easy to read and recognizable. My only argument with keeping the shield was because it had TROY on it. I like the T sword the way it is. We don't need to continue to change our brand or colors of a sword. It hurts the brand when you continue to do those type of things.
