I am sorry, but I must agree with Troystet on this one boys. I am glad we swept, and I am proud of our homeruns, but my goodness I hope the wind was blowing out! We gave up so many runs that our pitchers ERA's will never recover! We need to win at least 2 this weekend because our schedule is weak this year and we don't get many chances against Top 25 teams (if we want to try to get an at-large bid). Our pitchers gave up 26 runs over the weekend! I bet that is a record - ha! I hope everyone that can make it will go out this weekend and cheer. The ULL fans travel well. I will be working, but at least I will have audio since ULL broadcasts every softball game. It doesn't matter if you give up 26 runs when you score 59.

Not if you score 59 against ULL. Meanwhile, back on planet earth I'd rather be overly optimistic as opposed to a person who thrives on negativity.

Meanwhile, back on planet earth I'd rather be overly optimistic as opposed to a person who thrives on negativity. Difference in negativity and realism. Learn the difference. We beat ULL I'll be the first to kudos everybody but we aren't going to beat them giving up a bunch of runs. Softball is usually a low scoring game dominated by pitching We need the three things every team has to do to win...great pitching, great defense, timely hitting. You do those you put yourself in position to win

You do those you put yourself in position to win Rest assured I know the difference. I support Troy and attend athletic events for the entertainment. To cheer on the Trojans with people that are as passionate as I am about Troy succeeding. I get to hangout with a lot of cool Troy fans. I've been able to have some awesome experiences with my family and friends because of travel to Troy football games. L Amazing times with friends after the Georgia and Tennessee games. Absolute great time tailgating with the Cajuns in Lafayette. I love to win and hate to lose, but the losing doesn't consume my life and make me an angry miserable person. Cherish the victories and be excited for the next one. You on the other hand love to look for a slice of negativity in anything that anyone brings to this board. You are dark cloud of negativity in all things related to Troy athletics. Life is just too short and difficult, at times, to hunt the negative. I prefer to live on the positive side of life and enjoy it as much as possible.

I'm willing to wager the farm on my team's chances of taking the series if it scores 59 runs in three games.

Trust me losing doesn't consume my life and Troy athletics doesn't either, you chose to revolve your spare time around Troy athletics and that is great and glad you can do it. I can't because of distance and honestly I wouldn't if I lived there. I would attend games but not at the extent you do, and that is in no way being critical of you, it's just I have other interests that I do on the one day a week I don't work. I don't accept losing and mediocrity out of life, that's me. Everyone has a different personality. I support Troy athletics with money, with a daughter that is a student, and games when I can attend. That doesn't mean I accept my school losing and being mediocre in some sports. Just because someone doesn't accept or approve of what is Troy right now, does not mean I don't love Troy and the school. If I didn't why would I care. I know alumni who could care less if Troy won, lost, played sports or if the school closed. Why did my daughter choose Troy over the same scholarships she earned at other schools in Florida?? Because it was her Dad's school, she grew up with Troy her dad's school, she played in the SOTS because that was the band at her dad's school. Fans come in different sizes, races, sexes, views and more. In the end what does it matter. Some people on here don't like me because I state a problem if I see it. So since that is not accepted I have chosen to leave this board for good. I will say Hi, if and when I get to a Troy game but this board is not worth it anymore for me. Go Troy and enjoy the board. One less Floridian to bother all of you.

One less Floridian to bother all of you. Good grief Troystet, that's no way to deal with this issue. Folks are frustrated because you concentrate on finding everything wrong with the school you say you love and you identify it and constantly bring it up, over and over and over again. From parking to housing frustrations to unfair treatment of SOS members on scholarship. You take positives things like the girls winning a trip to the NCAA regionals and turn it into a negative because you were not happy with how bad they got beat, overlooking the positive of being in that elite group in the first place. You think every coach hired ought to be a former head coach...a "winner"! Your guy! I remind you of Charlie Bradshaw, a former head coach at Kentucky and a winner! Every coach had to start somewhere and every winning head coach at smaller schools might not be the right coach for Troy. Trust those whose job hiring is. Don't be upset if your guy isn't picked every time. After years of complaining loudly, Coach Brown is now recruiting your area but not one positive word from you about it. Even offered a kid from your high school. Your not happy because the GSB hasn't beaten ULL or USA yet their record within their schedule is excellent. Our SB team had a girl hit 4 home runs in one game tying a Troy record and one set an NCAA record for rbi's against App St but not one positive comment about it but you found a way to interject negative about who they HADN'T beat. That coach is becoming very successful but she wasn't your choice. The MBB has serious issues, find one fan not aware of that. I'm sure Coach Cunningham knows the pressure on him to perform better, and I'll bet he knows his job is at stake so why discuss it with the talk of our daily post? Can't help improve recruiting do you think? Troystet, life's too short to be seeing the hole rather than the donut so often. Troy has a lot of good things happening, not everything but a lot, none of which I've read a positive comment from you about so I offer just one week play as evidence, you might want to read it and reply positively: Troystet, it's about being realistic. Every fan I know wants Troy to win every game they play, the difference in fans is how they react when that doesn't happen. Troy Sports: As you know, the Women’s Basketball team fell to Oregon State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. As an upside, check out the pictures taken with the team while traveling to Oregon… you can see the excitement in the girls’ faces. This should really help recruiting. · The Softball (21-7 / 4-2 in the Sun Belt) team’s week was amazing: o Beat Florida A&M 11-2 and then swept Appalachian State on the road by a scores of 11-1, 23-6 and 25-19. o Hannah Day finished the week 13-16 with three doubles, six home runs and 20 RBI’s. She now leads the nation in RBI with 48 and is third in the nation with 13 home runs. Hannah was named National Player of the Week by two organizations. o Carli Kayler tied a NCAA record by hitting four home runs in the second game vs. Appalachian State and set an NCAA record with 17 total bases in the game (besting Hannah Day’s record-tying performance of 16 the day before). · Women’s Golf won the Samford Intercollegiate by 31 strokes. Fátima Fernández Cano set a Troy record for lowest 3-round score, shooting 68-68-72 to beat her old record of 210 by two strokes. · Baseball took two of three from Georgia Southern and beat Alabama A&M last night to improve their record to 13-9 (3-3 Sun Belt). · Men’s Tennis won a pair of matches in Fort Walton Beach. Andy Lau was awarded Sun Belt Player of the Week honors. · #74 Women’s Tennis picked up one win and improved their overall record to 9-4 (1-1). · Track & Field competed at the Alabama Relays and were led by the throwers.
