They are doing soil samples right now for it... We will break ground on it in December some time.

They are doing soil samples right now for it... We will break ground on it in December some time. So when they said they were going to break ground this past December they really meant December a year from now. Outstanding. Love how it keeps getting pushed back. They need to not sugar coat everything. All they are doing, and all they've ever done is tell everyone what they want to hear ever since the plans were in the making leaving everyone with a bad taste in their mouth because it's all been a bunch of bs just to shut everyone up about it

They really need to, folks have lost faith in their honesty about it. It needs to be really going up during football season 2016 to restore that trust.

NOT trying to be a smart aleck, but maybe society has programmed us to think that "break ground" means to have a ceremony with gold plated shovels, dignitaries, and large machinery ready to move soil immediately. ACTUAL definition of break ground is "do preparatory digging or other work prior to building or planting something". Based on the REAL definition, they did break ground in either December or January since the soil samples HAVE been taken as mentioned by Possum.
I agree that we CAN expect more development and news regarding this "project" in the near future. I will continue to trust the process :-)

With that said I have not seen any heavy equipment around the field house or stadium digging or moving dirt for a foundation.

The mishandling of this project from the beginning, by Steve Dennis, is why many are hesitant to get excited. The project was announced, I believe at the Larry Blakeney Roast. At that time no donors or money had been raised towards the project. Realistically I would think you would need 75% of the money raised before you announce to the general public you will be building a new endzone facility. That money could have been raised through your top tier donors, sponsorships, and former players. All while giving them confidential information on the project and a hand in the design and concept stage of the build. All that was lost when it was publicly announced that night.
Basically it was made public knowledge long before it ever should have been announced.

Is that going to be a new hot tub? I do not have enough information to either confirm or deny. I did not check the depth or water temperature.

After reviewing the photo courtesy of Mr E 205 Legion and the definition of broke (past tense of "break" meaning to seperate into pieces as a result of a blow, shock or strain) and the definition of ground (the solid surface of the earth), I can confirm that ground has been broken. However, I am unable to confirm as to whether this ground breaking is related to the eventual building of an end-zone football facility.
