I was there, I know what it was like. It didn't get better, 4th quarter it was even worse, Just stating a fact, take it how you want. Our attendance is a problem whether anyone cares to admit it or not. It's hard for the typical fan to get excited about 3 win seasons. It is going to get better I hope but it is going to be hard to get the fans and students excited again. Winning cures a lot of ills. The fans we have lost are the same ones who go to WalMart to get their Bama or Auburn gear whichever is winning. If we start winning they will return. My guess is they are to cheap to buy seats at Bama or Auburn. They will watch on TV with their chest poked out wearing that $9.95 Bama (this year) shirt with a cold PBR! The committed supporters are still here, win or lose, rain or shine! Go Trojans!!! What's wrong with PBR?

Absolutely nothing?

Amazing the constant complaining about attendance by some that don't even attend the games themselves. Seems they are more a part of the problem rather than the solution. I know we had some new people come to the SoBama game this year that made it a point to come back to the last two games because of the good time they had in Troy, Alabama. I know for a fact they bought 5 stadium club tickets to the last game. Instead of begin a constant negative, why don't we all hype up the positives surrounding the program and see if we can't get more people to buy into Troy athletics? I am with you Hemi! I could give a crap less about fair weather fans' attendance! I had the opportunity to have 7 different people over the course of the season sit with us in our seats for their first ever time attending a Troy football game. Every last one of them had a blast and say they will come back for many more. I hate losing as much as anybody and the cry of "next year" does get very old, but "next year" actually has real hope attached to it now! Not making the Camellia Bowl this year will not bother me one bit if we go to New Orleans next year! Go Trojans!

Every program has negative things about it. Especially in their past. That life. I have been negative on this blog. It was at a time when it was just time for obvious change. Sorry everyone had to read my venting. Right now we have many things to be excited about and hopeful for as a program. There is not a doubt in my mind this years Trojan team would have beat the socks off of last years Trojan team. We are improved in every area. The wins will come. It is a process. It is happening. I am just done with the constant negative attitude toward the program (constantly bringing up old stuff) and think that we should call posters out on it (t set). I'm not talking about differing opinions about the next level of improvements I am talking about constantly bringing up old junk that we all agree is past us. I am over talking about it.

DT84 has not been able to be there but by God you best bet I am going to watch on TV or listen to Barry. The attendance will come with the end zone and some W's. Give it time.

Zebra, we should give a lot of crap about fair weather fans' attendance. - Fair weather Fans become die hard fans. - Fair weather Fans buy drinks, tickets, programs and sometimes Troy gear. - Fair weather Fans fill up seats. Ask any player if they would they rather play in front of 10k or 18k, 20k, 25k ? - We want Fair weather Fans, we need them. And if the core fans treat them as people that are not wanted, we all lose. - My dream is to be in my seat with an overflow crowd at the Vet. That would be a site to see.

Until then they don't confront me one way or the other. My six seats always have folks that want to be there rather than somewhere else, those are the folks that matter to me.

Oh, I guess we misconstrued when you said: "I could give a crap less about fair weather fans' attendance! " Sorry we need the fan weather fans to grow the program. alot of people don't understand why some regular Troy fan groups are so snobbish when it comes to fan weather fans. We shouldn't worry about who is in the stands until we are selling out every home game, otherwise we need every butt in the seat we can get. So yea we should give a crap about fair weather fan attendance, because they are attending !

I like seeing the seats filled, but if they are not committed to the program, I have no reason to care which fair weather fan sits in which seat. I am genuinely interested in folks who will come every week! The more of those folks we have, the better we will be as a fan base!

Not every Troy fan or Troy alum can come to every game. Some like me and others live to far away, 12 hours round trip in my case and 16 hours for several old teammates of mine. They all make at least one game a year but I do hear one constant from them, it just isn't the same anymore. Others have young families or teenagers involved in weekend sports or activities or others have jobs where you work weekends. Every fan, alumni or who ever should be made to feel welcome and valued. It's great that several of you go to every home game and several go to the away games also. Just please realise that not everyone can do that, it doesn't make them any less of a fan as it makes you anymore of a fan. Be thankful you live close, have the weekends, have the money, and get to go to the games....everyone doesn't have that luxury

Ok, some will never see the forest through the trees. Love the status quo, hopefully new AD is interesting in a full stadium and growing the program. I am glad you have fun with your little crew and don't care about any other persons in the stadium. Makes no sense. This is the small time, small townie attitude that is hurting us.
