Has anyone heard anything new lately? Last we were told we would likely break ground in December. And I've not even seen final plans of the project. I would think that should be finalized by now if they are breaking ground in a month or less.
With the last home game being played, I figured we would have heard something.

I think they missed a really great opportunity to publicize it by starting BEFORE the final home game. Some are starting to doubt if it ever will happen. Also GET THE BANNERS OF EVERY NFL AND CFL PLAYER FROM TROY UP SOMEWHERE HIGHLY VISIBLE IN THE STADIUM! Thank you very much :-)

Spoke to a rep with the Trojan Warrior fund about this issue. He advised they are going ahead with the project. I asked why you see no mention of it in the game day program, website, etc. I was advised because they have not approved the final plan. I asked when the facility was expected to be completed. He said kickoff 2017. Maybe someone on here can provide moe info.

My sources have told me we will be in the new facility for the home opener of 2017... Actually before that, but the "grand opening" will be that game.

I heard that the campus in Ho Chi Minh City needs a new swimming pool so the end zone house is on hold.

DeMarcus Ware should be on every viewing spot in the stadium, but outside of him, who is a MUST?

What about Brynden Trawick (playing now) Kerry Jenkins (Won super bowl with Tampa as a starter) Jerrel (won SB as a rookie) Chandler Worthy (current)
This is the hard part, who is worthy

It'd probably be better if they could coincide with what they have in the fieldhouse...

After five straight non-winning seasons it's starting to drop to the point where it will take a decade of winning to bring back up. Sad state of affairs. We wait til next year ! We continue to hope.....

It'd probably be better if they could coincide with what they have in the fieldhouse... Steve Dennis promised banners... did not deliver. John Hartwell delivered the "live" banner around the stadium and the new Jumbotron, evidently player banners were not a priority. The ball is in Jeremy McLain's court now. Contact him to let him know how you feel. I suspect that there is a plan to recognize former football stars in the new endzone facility??

Based on attendance at the UL Monroe game and Ga. Southern game - who would see the banners Our fan base has moved on - tough to swallow that pill but it has -
I still love where we are headed - winning will as someone mentioned - cure a lot of things

Semantics? Sure, but I think it realistically indicates where we are. In '95, VMS seated approx 12,500. We typically averaged 8-10 K. After the first expansion, VMS seated 17,500 and we typically averaged 10-12 K. This was, I believe, in '97 or so. Then came the transition and winning and attendance average approached 20 K. We are now back to approximately 12-15 K fannies in seats on Saturday. I contend the fan BASE is still here. A large number of regulars on here remember and speak about the Div II, Div 1AA, and Div 1A transition days. We are the fan base. We just need that base to grow, which will happen with youngsters growing up TROY fans and with consistent, long term winning.

Don't care if they announce 18,000 and insult our intelligence. I have the pics from App St last year and there wasn't 5,000 in the stands with 15,000 announced Attachments:

Either pregame or halftime. Looks like pre-game. Was at that game. 15,000 may have been high but it was not as bad as you are trying to say. So do you come on here to be negative because you have to be positive everywhere else. We don't need negative right now.

Amazing the constant complaining about attendance by some that don't even attend the games themselves. Seems they are more a part of the problem rather than the solution. I know we had some new people come to the SoBama game this year that made it a point to come back to the last two games because of the good time they had in Troy, Alabama. I know for a fact they bought 5 stadium club tickets to the last game. Instead of begin a constant negative, why don't we all hype up the positives surrounding the program and see if we can't get more people to buy into Troy athletics?

Our attendance is a problem whether anyone cares to admit it or not. It's hard for the typical fan to get excited about 3 win seasons. It is going to get better I hope but it is going to be hard to get the fans and students excited again. Winning cures a lot of ills.

The fans we have lost are the same ones who go to WalMart to get their Bama or Auburn gear whichever is winning. If we start winning they will return. My guess is they are to cheap to buy seats at Bama or Auburn. They will watch on TV with their chest poked out wearing that $9.95 Bama (this year) shirt with a cold PBR! The committed supporters are still here, win or lose, rain or shine! Go Trojans!!!
