I would keep tweaking my O line rotation for continuity so I could have a more comfortable QB. Make any WR that tries to make a 1-hand grab, without ET hands, do cut-aways after a miss. Pat my defense on the back for giving up less than 20 pts in another game. I'd give a few more the those are the main thoughts I've come up with from the games I've watched. Sounds like you need to apply for the HC job because you are obviously a lot smarter than NB! Sign on! Get with the program! Let Dear Leader know your ideas so they can hire you and the team can start winning! What are you waiting for?! Not interested. It's easy so sit back and critique with hindsight. As many detractors as he has right now, there will be that 10-fold when he turns this program around.

Did some of you expect to be 500 at this point, or a phenomenal 2-4 rather than 1-5? This staff is starting from scratch. They had to teach players how to flipping tackle in fall camp! Give it time. How do you help this problem a) whine and Moan, some of you are doing great at that or b) get behind this program and donate some jack to build facilities. I choose b.

Rebuilding year = losing season. So we're expected to suffer through at least three more years before we can expect somthing different. After four rebuilding years in row and three more on top of that this program should be about dead as a hammer. Your head coach just left and a new one just stepped in. You instant gratification millennials absolutely kill me!

Relax my Trojan friends. The future is bright. The sun will come up tomorrow and our Trojans will continue to rebuild. Have patience.

Thanks Coach Blakeney for your poor efforts at recruiting from 2010-2014.
Inexcusable that he let the talent level get so drained, and then hires a washed-up DC (Bolt) that can't recruit and had no recent success being a DC.
Now we have the mess that we see today.

Yeah...when this team was playing with house money and we were slapping each other on the back, LB kept saying he needed the endzone project done, begging the Trojan Nation to step up...now, let's just throw it all at his feet. Look into the mirror, Trojan Nation, and accept your responsibility as well.

I don't want to hear about the end zone facility. We got beat by an Idaho team that plays in the Kibbie Dome. We got beat by a USA team that doesn't even have an on campus stadium... same goes for our shellacking we took last year at UAB.
Even without an endzone facility, Troy still has one of the nicer stadiums/facilities in the Sun Belt.
I personally feel like Blakeney's cries for an endzone facility was so he could throw the blame for his poor recruiting efforts on something else. He won 5 SBC titles without one. ULL and ASU didn't have stellar practice facilities until the past couple of years, yet they still won a lot of games from 2011-2013...
Please, no more blaming the recruiting on not having an endzone facility. It was Blakeney not going the extra mile in tecruiting, PERIOD.

Look into the mirror, Trojan Nation, and accept your responsibility as well. So, part of the reason we suck is because we didn't give enough money for the endzone project? Seriously? I would argue LB used the lack of said endzone facility as an excuse to not recruit like he and his staff should have.

A fumble that cost us a touchdown and a fumble that gave them a touchdown. It is just that simple. Since so many here want to coach, I will try my hand. Maybe some more drills for backs and receivers to catch and hold on to footballs?
I am sick of losing too. There are no valid excuses for losing to Idaho. I look forward to better days with Coach Brown in the years to come.

It's a new low when you lose to Idaho. That's what happens when you show up unprepared AND you play for the tie (I don't blame Jed at all. You can't expect your kicker to make them all) at the end of the game instead of playing to win. On the bright side, at least we have cool uniforms. *Sigh* Idaho wasn't won road game in like four years until yesterday. Ouch.

Ou At least now if we lose to Georgia State, which is very possible this year, we won't have the honor of being the first Sunbelt team, or even worse, the first FBS team in history that they have beaten. I live close to Atlanta, and I have dreaded the day that we ever loose to that train wreck. I hope it never happens. However, now that honor goes to New Mexico State a few weeks ago and more recently Ball State.

It's more than a stadium hoss. Players are in the stadium for four hours a week.

We're halfway through the season and we're already waiting on "next year" .... Again. The patients of the Trojan nation has officially run out. I decided to sit in the student section for the game and that base is defeated. I heard students say stuff like, "here we go again"', "this is why I drink before we even come to the games", etc... The current student body doesn't know anything about our conference championships, our huge upset victories on espn, all they know is the team stinks, they hate going, but for some reason they drag themselves into the stadium on Saturday anyways... That is dedication. One scary thought... Our only victory is against charleston southern, because they replaced uab after they cut their program, had they not done that do you still think we'd have that lone win? Another scary reality, espn's bottom 10 was calling our game the pillow fight of the week. We just lost to one of the worst teams in the nation at home... I think we wind up on the bottom 10 this week and stay there for the remainder of the season. I knew things would be tough this year but I am sick of losing

Well let me say I was disappointed to see that ball hit the uprights yesterday. And yes, losing to a historically-terrible Idaho team at homecoming adds insult to injury. But this is a rebuilding year - nobody really should have realistically expected a huge turnaround in year one. Our situation is not the same as, say, Florida where McElwain inherited an obviously talented team and has coached them into an impressive season so far. Let's know our ceiling.
Now, I'm with those who thought Idaho should have been a win, but it happens. Hopefully our new coach will find a way to improve the ranks through strong recruiting, and will also become a better coach and get more out of his players as time goes on. There were mistakes on both sides of the ball and on the coaching staff yesterday, sure. I have not seen enough from this new staff to judge whether or not they are our long term answer, it's far too soon to judge. I think the team is definitely playing with more passion. Not sure we would have gotten ourselves in a position to tie the game with a FG last year after falling behind. As others have alluded to, CNB is mostly still relying on CLB's players who participated in the last couple of struggling seasons. Speaking of which, I walked right by CLB and he sure looked relaxed. Good for him.
There were certainly positive moments yesterday. Tidwell coming in brought a nice change of pace and gave the team the spark it needed to keep the game close. I also saw plenty of good tackling yesterday from individual players.
More importantly, it was homecoming and I got to go "home" - this was my first in-person chance to watch Neal Brown's team and my Trojans in action. I absolutely hated that I missed USA (somebody had the discourtesy to schedule a wedding that afternoon) but boy it was great being back in ol' Troy.
The weather was PERFECT - absolutely gorgeous. The Sound of the South sounded great. I unfortunately missed the pre-game activities due to some morning errands here in Florida running late, but we did manage to arrive at Hook's and get our traditional pre-game "tailgate" BBQ potato - delicious! The crowd was lethargic for most of the game, but I get it's hard to get excited after a few rough years. I was also sad to see how many left at half-time when the game was still 3-0, anybody's game. Not sure I'd want to pay $15 bucks for a GA ticket if I was going to leave in the middle of a close game. I mentioned last season that I have been spoiled by the years I spent in grad school at FSU and am a much noisier fan than I learned to be at Troy, but it continues to be awkward to get loud on most 3rd downs at Troy. That's ok though-when the Trojans made their late-game rally those still in the stands came alive and I got that great Trojan feeling as the crowd cheered, the band played the fight song, and the team made a stand. I'm disappointed it was a loss, but it was still a great afternoon in Troy.
Can't wait to see if my schedule will allow going to the ULM or GaSo games. Go Trojans! Keep heart!
