Has the spread been set yet? I have no idea what to expect for the first game so I won't even try to take a stab at what I think the final score will be. I just hope we don't get blown out.

All the season tickets and mini packs have been sold out. Limited single game inventory is available...less than 1,000 remain for the Troy game so you Trojans pony up and make the trip to Raleigh. Hoping the weather cooperates! Hey Rico55, staying on Hurricane Alley, flying in early Sat, where is a GOOD place to pick up some BBQ or fried chicken, something easy on the tailgate? We have secured parking, not sure where, but would like some ideas. Really looking forward to it. Are you a member of the Wolfpack Club?

Where is the best place to park for the Troy Trojans that are making the trip? I started a thread on the NC State free board at Scout.com. Some info has started trickling in with more to come early next week. Checking there periodically might be your best bet. There is parking reasonably close and not too expensive.

Not sure if you're tailgating or want to eat in. If you're staying on Hurricane Alley you could literally walk to the stadium. Very close by is Backyard Bistro which has a pretty varied menu and not outrageous prices. Very popular place. From there you basically walk across the street to the stadium. If you are serious about BBQ (and around here we are VERY serious about it) I would suggest either The Pit or Clyde Cooper's Barbecue. Cooper has a tailgating buffet pickup, but not sure if it's more for a group. The number is 919.832.7614. Nice people. You can check out the web sites or tripadvisor for Backyard Bistro, The Pit and Clyde Cooper's. Don't know if y'all have Bojangles' down your way but they are extremely popular for chicken and have tailgating boxes...several of them in the area.
Raleigh has lots of places to eat and what you do may depend on what you want, how much time you have, how comfortable you are navigating in an unfamiliar place, etc. Your hotel could offer suggestions I'm sure. Once in the stadium there are numerous food options...not the greatest but not too bad either. Suggest you make one lap around to see everything and then decide.

I'm staying at the Comfort Suites on Hurricane Alley. Judging from Google Earth, it is walking distance to Carter-Finley. Is that the case Rico?

American Dream...absolutely. Probably a little over 5 minutes but no more than 10. I think you might have to go up a fairly steep little hill but no worries.

Thanks so much. We will be tailgating. Are the Pit or Clyde Cooper's restaurants close within walking distance of the Comfort Inn on Hurricane alley? I can call in if its on the way from the airport, pick it up if that is the case. Yes I am familiar with Bojangles although we don't have them here. Would love to know where you're tailgating as well. Check your PM as I will send you a message

Just checked in to Comfort Suites. Looks like there'll be a tailgate next door at the Bistro
