The Dream stumbled upon this on the twittersphere. As the kids say, this has no chill.

Irony at its finest!! I took the history of baseball with Dr. Carol when I was at TROY, I always thought it was funny that the class was offered in the spring and we didnt meet when it conflicted with a TROY home baseball game.

Good ole Dr. Carol, lived in that old hotel on Hwy 231. He had to have rented two rooms, one for living in and the other for hanging his wardrobe! He was one more interesting gentleman, and he did love Troy Baseball......

Ahh yes, Jackie! You always wanted to take Jackie in the Spring! If there was a game, you had two choices at class time: got to the game, or got to the "Gulch"!! Loved listening to that man! So many stories!! Many memories from class, but here's one: He brought in a picture of himself at about 19 from WWII. He said he'd lied about his age to get in ... I believe he said he was on Missouri for surrender (of course, the first time he came to class after seeing Mitsubishi truck ... cussing up a storm about the GD japs, etc). Anyway, asked us ... You want to know why Jackie is so good looking now ... Hell, look at him then!! He made us pass the picture around the room! Very interesting man!!
