Even in our best years, the Thanksgiving weekend home games are a killer. When we were D1AA there were some playoff games that might have had 1,000 people there. It is what it is, but I like where we are heading and think we have a shot at filling up that stadium when we start winning. We might fill it if we are winning when NC State and Boise play us at home but unless the attitudes of students, locals, alumni and fans change, we will never fill it for a SBC game. It makes me mad because the conference games mean everything.

Makes you wonder if the fans are showing up to cheer on the Trojans or to see the opponent?

UAB may not be dead. The University is set to hire an independent firm to review the President's decision to end the program over financial woes. The board will have about 6 weeks to select the firm then the firm will have 90 days to release their report. No matter which way it turns out UAB won't have a 2015 season because it is logistically impossible at this point. Seems a lot of people, including State representatives, are upset about the decision to kill the program. I think no matter what this will be the modern day version of SMU where they're hit with "the big one" and they feel the effects for decades.

I believe that the bammers will get caught up in this because of the Paul Bryant Jr connection. BoT tampering has been alleged and audio has been submitted to al.com in reference to it...they will have football again.

Excluding this season's miraculous 6-6 record, weren't they already playing like they had been hit with "the big one?"

Not saying they don't suck, but there was a conspiracy to kill uab football and that's going to play out at the expense of the BoT by PBJ...

The question remains if they do reinstate it do they allow the players to transfer back or do they start from scratch like USA or like East Tennessee St who are bringing back their football

Another question, IF, and that's a big IF, they get a FB program back, would it be at the FBS level? How can a big time program shutdown one year, and change its mind the following year and say, "never mind, we will play FB after all, go ahead and put us on your schedule."

Ideally, they'd still be in coosa...though, scheduling would be a nightmare for the foreseeable future since they've 86'd all their games. Great observation to be sure...

We had a 3-9 season... Toledo has 5k for a 8-4 season... That wouldn't be the case at Troy. But it was the case at Troy. We went 8-4 in 2008 and had roughly 5K for the defacto SBC championship game vs Arkansas State. You're comparing Toledo's season to one of Troy's games.
