DT84 is on board. We need to go get some quality assistants now. DT84 would like to see NB 1st address to the athletes. This will be a where the standard and expectations are set or more of the same is set.

Anything over 5 wins next year will be well above my expectations. We aren't very talented. The schedule next year is not conducive to a quick turnaround. Three tough road games out of conference. Plus trips to ULL and App St. Agree on not a quick turnaround, I was thinking 6 wins would be good. This program has major major discipline problems. There will be fallout the next 6 months. A lot of bumps in the near future. A lot folks on here disagree with you and now say we are flush with talent. I hope the same coaches that failed to bring in the talent before, find religion and can bring it in now. I think we can do 6-6 next year realistically. As a kool-aid drinking happy fangirl, I say we go undefeated. LOL I do think we have the talent to be competitive in conference, but would like to see some HS coaches who should be good connections tapped for talent in areas we seem to be ignoring. I'm not on board with keeping the coaches that were retained, and I don't know how much of it was Brown and how much of it was money and favors to the outgoing coach. And I would have kept Beckles over the ones who were retained. But it's done and is what it is. I have a lot of hope for next season and am really looking forward to the spring. Hoping we'll have back some of that fire, piss, and vinegar that we used to.

Discipline isn't as big as some have made it out to be on here because they are heard a story. There will be some that fade was though, no doubt. Talent will need to be upgraded to get us to the next level. That will take some time. Have to disagree on the discipline but I am encouraged by what was said at the press conference. I do agree that some will not be back. Excited by what I am hearing.

The three coaches retained hit the lotto: help drive a program to the bottom, get a raise.

At the moment, I'd say next year sees 5 wins with an outside shot at a smaller named bowl. If CNB does what I believe needs to be done and what I believe he will do, the current roster will have a number of names no longer on the team come first game next year.
So next year sees some moderate improvement with a chance he catches a bit of lightning in a bottle and we have a big year. I don't think that's like but it's certainly possible. His big work focus will need to be in recruiting and I think that will take 2 - 3 years at a minimum to begin seeing some fruits of those labors.
If he does all of the above, then I could see a bigger school with deeper pockets come calling around 2019. I hope so

This is Neal's shot. I think you see a coach calling the shots a lot more than LB. LB gave the asst coaches a lot of say, I think Neal will have a short leash this first year. His career rides on this Couldn't agree more. He's not working off a good ole boy network like some on here assume. There you go! Darn right! I think a new sheriff's in town!

The ONE thing he can do to make me happy is to throw some fade routes to #3 in the red zone!

I'm optimistic about this hire. I too want to see the return of our '(The HC we don’t speak of)-on-the-shoulder' style of play, and the swagger that was the mark of our often underrated little team from Nowheresville, Alabama.(I know I must have had 75 drunken Tiger fans in Baton Rouge ask me "where's Troy?" on my way into the stadium the first time we played them!) That has been sadly lacking for the past several years, and I dearly believe it has made a difference. Back then we had something to proved and we believed we could win! It was a beautiful thing to watch!
The thing is, you've got to show you can back it up, and we did that very well back then!I'm hopeful that Neal is the man who can show them they can still get it done...hopefully without all the penalties we use to draw, but that a subject for a different thread...

Anyone, anytime, anywhere...that has been missed in my book. I agree. Neal talked about toughness and getting the swagger back
