His buyout package is reported to be $6.5m. That may be just a bit outside our price range.

Facebook pages have proven to be effective right? Isn't that why ADJH is hiring Coach O?

Seriously? No
Not the type of splash hire we want to make weeks after he was just fired.

Actually, there are those that are involved in the process that have sought to shut down the Hire Coach O page because it rocks the boat and doesnt fit the plan......Facebook pages can stir the pot and get people thinking and talking and thats not a bad thing.

That would be against the law of freedom of speech right? Depends on if it was done the correct way. You can put anything on the internet, but if it doesn't fit the mold or if the other person goes about removing it the right way, then no, it doesn't fall under free speech. Think UF will owe him whatever $ remains on the remaining years of his contract along with what will be some negotiated separation $. One thing's for sure now, other schools can contact him at will and not have to request permission or wait until the end of the season. Since he was let go, the hiring school would owe nothing to UF by virtue of hiring him. But, it's likely that his UF separation $ is structured such that once he's employed as a coach (DC or HC) again, they no longer have to pay.

He's getting over $6 Million period because of the buyout. Not contingent on anything else.

Muschamp will be the DC at Auburn or some other power 5 school that needs a big improvement on defense.

I wouldn't mind Muschamp, not one bit. Would bring a world class defense to town, would just have to make sure he finds an OC, which is what plagued him in Gainesville. He also doesn't tolerate any BS would instill some discipline that, some here have argued, we have lacked in recent years.

Have you watched their offense the last three years homershake Fleetwood was Sid Gilliam compared to Muschump. Another assistant who bombed as a HC. Troy might make the same mistake.

@darrenrovell: Will Muschamp will get a buyout worth about $6.3M from Florida, which WILL NOT be reduced even when he gets another job.

Are you illiterate? Or did the bag just get in the way... like I said... the offense has "plagued him in Gainesville." I'm well aware of how dreadful that squad has been on offense. But, a blind man could score on our defense. So, again, he brings HIS defense to town and hires an OC and lets that OC do his thing. But WM coming to Troy won't happen so what does it matter.
