Let's all show up Saturday November 29th for Larrys last hurrah! Pack out the stands and show our respect and appreciation for what he has done for Troy university. More importantly the lives he helped shape in young men through out the years. He will be missed and things will never be the same on those sidelines after November 29th. Please visit the FB page and spread the news! m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1560364704182647

Moving the game up to 11:30 is going to make it hard on those that have a long drive. I will have to leave on a Friday which will be tough because my business is very busy on Friday. I might be getting into Troy at 1 am

I would rather have a early start... We don't need to compete with iron bowl, which will probably be an evening game.

I always schedule off work months in advance for all games. But I only live 2.5hours away.
I hope everyone can be there... I'm sure they will do something special for Larry too.

And he's in a job that will receive heat for when things aren't going well. It is what it is.

Better to call for it at the 13th hour than not at all Nothing wrong with that if stating the obvious is your thing... Nothing wrong with trying to throw cold water on a positive tribute to CLB if that is your thing... I would prefer to support 100% and make the best of it. Trying to recruit additional fans to the game now. It's hard when the coaching staff does not even want to be at Troy and we are 2-8 but trying anyway to honor Larry.

Double edge sword. The man who help guide Troy and built it to D1 is also the man who brought the program down.

Double edge sword. The man who help guide Troy and built it to D1 is also the man who brought the program down. We've seen this happen several times over the last few years with older coaches. Both FSU and FAU had this happen (I'm sure there are other examples), though Bowden didn't bring things down near this far. Regardless, both he and Schnellenberger will be remembered for their previous successes, not how their coaching careers ended. Should be the same for Larry in a few years. He'll just be the honored retired coach who brought Troy into FBS and then dominated their conference for years. I'll be there if I can. I think most of the criticism has been deserved, but that doesn't mean I don't respect the man and what he's done over his very long career. I'd like to be there for his last game, because even though I think it's time it is still going to be a sad moment for me as a fan of the team.

Well, my view is that there's a major distinction to be had between calling for, even rabidly as atlantatrojan and saintflorian have done, CLB to be fired NOW NOW NOW and them later, when their wish is granted, encouraging other fans to come out and give him a good send-off. After all, while they may have been calling for heads this year, certainly they, like every single Trojan fan out there, recognizes Larry's legendary value to the program over the long term and agrees he deserves a good farewell game. So I don't see the hypocrisy there - it's a pretty consistent stance. But to get more back to topic, I really do hope the Vet is packed (it won't be) or at least a sizable crowd is present to bid adieu to our longtime coach (this could happen). I'm pretty pleased the game has - if I'm reading correctly - been moved to 11:30am. I prefer not to stay the night in Troy, and this time raises the chances I'll be able to go.

School is out for Thanksgiving. Iron Bowl is that Sat., no veterans and active duty free tickets and no campus tour. Don't expect a crowd over 10,000 but you never know. I hope it's better than the Black Friday crowd last year
