• ULM will close out the month of October with a Halloween showdown at Troy on Thursday night... ULM trails the all-time series, 5-8-1, but the Warhawks have claimed the last two meetings in the series... In the most recent meeting (at Troy; Oct. 15, 2011), the Warhawks claimed a 38-10 victory over the Trojans.
• ULM enters Thursday’s game on a two-game winning streak after victories at Texas State (W, 21-14, Oct. 12) and against Georgia State (W, 38-10, Oct. 26).
• In ULM’s annual homecoming game, the Warhawks picked up a 38-10 win over Georgia State in the first-ever meeting between the two schools... Georgia State is in its first season at the FBS-level and first as a member of the Sun Belt Conference... The Panthers’ game at Malone Stadium marked the first trip to the state of Louisiana for the program.
• After suffering an injury in the non-conference finale against Tulane, Kolton Browning made his return to the gridiron against Georgia State... Browning tossed a season-high four touchdown passes as he finished 21-of-30 for 224 yards... He also rushed 11 times for 37 yards.
• Centarius Donald made the most of his eight rushing attempts against the Panthers... Donald rushed for 126 yards (15.8 ypc) and one touchdown... He set a new career-high with a 69-yard scamper in the first quarter that set up the Warhawks’ first score of the game.
• On ULM’s second offensive series against the Panthers, Tony Cook hauled in his first career touchdown to give ULM the early 7-0 lead... Cook’s four-yard reception from Kolton Browning came with 9:10 to play in the opening quarter.
• The Warhawks used a little bit of trickery on their second scoring drive of Saturday’s game... Ajalen Holley ran a reverse and took a pitch from Kolton Browning and hooked up with Je’Ron Hamm for a 26-yard completion... The pass attempt by Holley was the first of his career.
