And it's not bad if it happens. The coach makes a big impact. Not if a kid just came out of Mississippi from a JUCO. ^^^This^^^ Bill Clark loaded up with CA JUCO's. I guess CA because the MS and KS kids were already taken. He had to convert some McGee scholarship offers to gray shirt offers and several kids went elsewhere. His philosophy was he wanted to win now, not in a couple of years, and did not have the talent. He has not had any problems with the JUCO's that I am aware of. Any problems he inherited were either converted or kicked out. No big deal, took a month or so. I think TU would do good to hire an FCS head coach with an offensive background and good track record and not very old. Defensive oriented HC's have not not as well IMHO. See Chinznik, Nutt, Muschaps, Tubberville at AU, etc. Coach O is an exception.

Said it before, I'll say it again; the next couple of years will be rough regardless of who the next coach may be and where he was before coming to Troy. It's going to take time for him to recruit to his style, personality, etc. Don't be surprised to have more JUCO presence than what we might prefer, consider that the nature of the beast (and I'm not talking about the April Wine album) and a short term fix. I'd say year 3 is when we should expect to see consistently positive results.
Now please resume your usual pre-heart attack antics.
