Yes because nothing ever changes in college football... especially in 2-4 years time. Would you rather have another away bodybag matchup?

We have had a pretty good track record in the past with scheduling weaker Power 5 teams that turn out to be national title contenders by the time we play. We caught Miss. St., Tennessee, Ole Miss, Duke, Clemson and others on the up swing. That's just rotten luck. Maybe with UMASS struggling mightily right now (as are we), they won't be loaded for bare by 2016 and '18. We are not at a point currently to knock off the Georgia's. Florida State's and Notre Dame's of the world right now, so why schedule them? I understand fans want a destination trip, so just take a day or two off of work and visit Boston or New York while your in Amherst. The game will be played in November, so take a jacket and enjoy yankeeland.

And it is a great area to travel to in the fall.

I have always been partial to the idea of bringing in Bama State, A&M or Jax State. The crowd atmosphere would be awesome.

Would you rather have another away bodybag matchup? Depends. How much more money will we make playing a bottom dweller 1,250 miles away than a top ten team 250 miles away?

We could always just have enough money coming in from donors that the need for money games is lessened. Thus, the potential for more wins is heightened. I would be just fine if I never stepped foot in another SEC stadium again.

Although I don't think JSU's ego would allow them to sign that deal.

Schedule as many body bag games as we can. We need every million dollar payouts.
The quicker we start moving dirt the better. If that means we take a couple beat downs in SEC Land, so be it.
The GOAL for Troy is Sunbelt championships, period.
All the persons telling everyone to write checks because our facilities are weak are saying we don't need big money games ? Y'all are bi-polar.

I would rather fans put their money where their mouths are over money games. Your thought process appears to be let the players go out and take a beating 3 times a year rather than people supporting the teams financially. The let someone else earn the money for us system doesn't work.

Do crazy people know they are crazy ? Anyway..... If you went to Troy, you know that we don't have a lot of millionaire alumni that can provide the financial support to move dirt on facilities. So your point of building up the huge pool of Troy supporters with excess cash is not possible, because it doesn't exist. A very viable option. Money games. One million dollar payouts from Big 5 schools. These are real and can happen multiple times every year. These are real. Building million dollar money supporters from a alumni base that doesn't have it as a whole is not. I want to move dirt soon not in 20 years. Again, Sunbelt championships are the real prize for Troy. They can be achieved. We have fallen far when everyone on here now believes we don't even have a chance to be competitive against the big boys. I remember when they didn't want to play Troy.

I, for one, have higher expectations for Troy than just SBC rings...whatever it takes to get this team there, I'm open to the possibilities. With that said, tread lightly with what are perceived as personal attacks... I'm cracking down on those.
